Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional at MARC, Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting people with developmental disabilities in our group homes.
About the JobWe are seeking dependable and compassionate professionals to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting adults with special needs, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good judgment. The selected individual will be responsible for providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them with daily activities such as taking care of their home, finances, proper nutrition, and medical needs.
Responsibilities- Provides staff and natural supports to individuals served, implementing services tailored to meet their unique needs.
- Ensures individuals become involved in their community through natural supports, promoting independence and socialization.
- Supports individuals in managing their daily lives, including home maintenance, financial management, healthy eating, and adhering to medical regimens.
- Works closely with the Group Home Manager to set and achieve goals for individuals served.
- Maintains a safe and respectful living environment, adhering to physical standards and ensuring confidentiality.
- Transports individuals served in agency vehicles or personal vehicles when necessary.
- A valid CT driver's license and vehicle registration with current insurance.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports.
- CPR, First Aid, PMT, and Medication Certification (preferred).

This part-time position offers flexible hours, including nights and weekends. A competitive salary is available for the right candidate, with estimated annual earnings ranging from $40,000 to $60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
