Job Summary

The Personal Support Specialist will provide individualized support to clients in their homes, promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily instruction and assistance with personal care, meal planning, medication administration, and other activities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Complete documentation and reporting requirements, including behavior plans, progress notes, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement client-centered care plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position requiring regular attendance and flexibility to meet client needs.
