Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to coordinate and deliver care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs, attending education programs, and utilizing patient education materials.
  • Evaluate patient care, identifying expected outcomes, and seeking guidance as needed.
  • Implement care plans, demonstrating competence in caring for patients with complex problems, and utilizing healthcare organization and nursing standards.
  • Lead by example, developing goals to promote professional growth, and participating in development and achievement of unit goals.
  • Assess and anticipate discharge needs, developing relationships with families to promote their ability to advocate for the patient and their own needs.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
