Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team at UNC REX Healthcare. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Responsibilities
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients in the PACU, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to professional standards.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and open communication.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • One year of nursing experience, preferably in a PACU or similar setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
