About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Oxford Exchange. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Supervise and manage the bar team to ensure seamless service.
  • Attend to tables and ensure prompt service.
  • Receive and process orders from patrons and waitstaff.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including wine, spirits, and mixed drinks, according to established recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the display of glasses and liquor bottles.
  • Ensure that the bar is stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Collect information on guest preferences to provide personalized service.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of our liquors, beer, wines, and specialty cocktails.
  • Verify the age of customers and ensure that they are of legal drinking age.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain inventory and submit orders for supplies and ingredients.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service.
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
  • Ability to remain calm and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to learn cash register software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of mixology or barkeeping training.
  • At least one year of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and preparing drinks.
  • Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to lift at least 15 pounds.
