Renewable Energy Systems Engineer

We're revolutionizing the world's energy supply chain by making clean fuel affordable and accessible. Our mission is to develop Genesis, a modular hardware platform that captures carbon dioxide and converts it into 100% renewable, synthetic hydrocarbon fuel.
Key Responsibilities
You'll work closely with our co-founders and technical team to develop critical hardware for our systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, testing, and operating novel hardware & fuel generation systems
- Overseeing scale-up and integration of first-of-a-kind climate technology projects
- Designing experiments to evaluate system & reactor performance
- Analyzing experimental data and providing recommendations for future development
- Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to design and scale up synthetic hydrocarbon processes based on customer requirements
- Developing custom controls software & instrumentation with Python, LabView, etc.
- Managing a team of engineers and scientists
Requirements
We welcome candidates with a passion for chasing global challenges. Your skills might include:
- Leadership experience at a startup, university, or similar
- Knowledge of fluids, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, heterogeneous catalysis, catalyst synthesis, carbon capture, materials, etc.
- Ability to perform trade studies and technical analyses, and make clear recommendations using first principles
- Understanding of technical challenges associated with scaling and deploying a commercial hardware solution in the energy space
- Experience with data analysis in MATLAB, Python, or similar
- Experience with lab scale control systems (e.g. LabVIEW or other PLC)
