Job Summary:

The Associate Dean of the Graduate College will be responsible for providing leadership and support to graduate students, faculty, and staff. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance graduate education, promoting diversity and inclusion, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exercise shared and delegated responsibility for the implementation of the Graduate College Strategic Plan and Academic Success Goals
  • Chair Graduate Executive Committee subcommittees
  • Represent the Graduate College on university committees as delegated by the Dean
  • Serve as a resource for graduate program directors and staff university-wide regarding graduate academic and student affairs
  • Provide direction in introducing best practices in holistic admissions, inclusive mentoring, and student progression
  • Support the Dean in grant development to advance innovation in graduate education
  • Supervise student Services staff in the Graduate College and co-supervise staff in cross-college interdisciplinary programs
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in higher education, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. You will also need to have a deep understanding of graduate education and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance graduate programs.
