Job Summary:

The Operating Room X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during various procedures, including myelograms, arthograms, aspirations, and steroid injections. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the emergency department and in-patient areas, as well as routine X-rays ordered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up sterile trays and assisting radiologists during procedures
  • Performing emergent X-rays from the emergency department and in-patient areas
  • Conducting routine X-rays ordered by physicians
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Communicating effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and their families

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • AART Registered in Radiology
  • Experience with C-arm, O-arm, and portable digital equipment
  • BLS current
  • Current Texas state license to Texas Medical Board
  • 3 years of hospital experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations
