Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst in Asset Management at Clearway Energy will report directly to the Director of Asset Management. This role is integral to a team dedicated to the commercial oversight of approximately 5 GW of large-scale wind and solar energy projects throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
Investment Evaluation:
Assist in the assessment of new project investments, including project agreements and contract evaluations, to provide recommendations for acquisitions, divestitures, or investments in projects developed by the company.


Financial Analysis & Performance Monitoring:
Conduct profit and loss assessments and evaluate the economic performance of generating assets within the designated portfolio.

Perform financial evaluations, project assessments, and due diligence to support plant optimization, recovery strategies, revenue enhancement, and significant capital investments. Track and update budgets, forecasts, and financial models, while monitoring monthly performance reports and investigating any discrepancies. Address major plant outages and work towards their resolution. Collaborate with the energy management team to analyze gross margin performance and understand variances due to market conditions. Extract and analyze generation data from various sources to meet reporting requirements. Ensure financial models for assets are regularly updated.


Commercial Oversight & Administration:
Lead administrative functions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to key project agreements and financing terms. Organize and manage project documentation and ensure compliance with business-related licenses, permits, and regulatory obligations. Review project agreements to accommodate modifications as necessary. Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders as required.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with business development, finance, and construction management teams to facilitate the seamless transition of projects into commercial operations.

Support the creation of information-sharing platforms and work management systems, ensuring historical records are accurately populated and documents are archived appropriately. Contribute to enhancements in asset management and project handover processes.


Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and landowners. Identify opportunities for community engagement and charitable contributions related to projects.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is required.

1-3 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, market analysis, project valuation, project management, asset management, compliance management, or similar roles. Familiarity with regulatory or legal documentation is essential, along with the ability to interpret complex agreements and regulations. Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills are necessary, as well as a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles. Proficiency in managing large datasets and advanced Excel skills are required. Occasional travel to project sites may be necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the power sector is advantageous, particularly in renewable energy such as solar, wind, geothermal, or hydro. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning, are highly valued. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is preferred.

Compensation:
The compensation for this position will be determined based on geographic location, skills, relevant experience, education, and other factors as permitted by law. This role is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on individual and company performance metrics.
