Lead Financial Officer, American Airlines and AT&T

As a critical member of the Citi team, the Financial Officer role is a dynamic position that requires a unique blend of financial expertise and partnership building skills. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders to drive growth and shareholder value while delivering on financial targets. Your responsibilities will include investment and marketing allocation, pricing and product value proposition decisions, balance sheet management, and scenario planning.


Key Responsibilities:


• Financial Performance: Provide financial counsel to business heads to achieve financial goals while optimizing returns subject to multiple constraints in a changing regulatory environment. Activities include budget and capital planning process, expense management, and balance sheet monitoring.


• Customer Engagement: Collaborate with external partners on key strategic priorities, with periodic travel within the US.


• Cross-functional Collaboration: Support Partnership Products to deepen customer engagement, enhance profitability of those relationships, and assess areas of additional opportunity. Identify business opportunities and challenges, determine solutions, and assemble cross-functional support to drive execution.


• Implement broader Citi wide Finance initiatives, connectivity with Global Finance Transformation.


• Model Governance: Work closely with Model Risk Management and the broader Finance team to ensure full compliance with global model documentation requirements.


• People Management: Attract and develop talent at all levels and geographies. Manage a team of employees and partner with Treasury and Controllers.


Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:


• 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience


Education:


• Bachelors/University degree


Skills and Other Requirements:


• Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders


• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and followership


• Ability to navigate a large complex organization


• High integrity
