Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our team at SMSI. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems and automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure and program PLCs to oversee and regulate machinery and processes
- Develop and troubleshoot control systems to ensure peak performance
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on control systems and automation equipment
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop and execute control system enhancements and adjustments
- Record all maintenance and repair tasks, as well as any adjustments made to equipment and updates to software
- Educate and train operators and maintenance staff on the correct utilization and upkeep of control systems and automation machinery
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in electrical or automation technology is highly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in the installation, upkeep, and resolution of issues with control systems and automation machinery
- Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI configuration
- Proficiency in electrical and electronic components, circuits, and systems
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
