Job Description

The Clinical Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in the admissions process, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and their support systems. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate admissions with the admissions department and facility, ensuring timely and efficient processing of patient information.
  • Support patients and their support systems through the onsite assessment and admission process, providing education and guidance as needed.
  • Facilitate groups, including multifamily groups, as assigned by the Program Director or Facility Coordinator.
  • Manage the milieu and oversee patient activities and interactions, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Build rapport with patients through education on the admission process and need for treatment, reviewing patient rights and expectations within the Welcome Packet.
  • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner, establishing and achieving realistic goals within the position.
  • Maintain the confidential nature of Outpatient Programming and related activities.
  • Travel to other facilities as needed to attend trainings or provide assistance.
  • Carry a small caseload and complete appropriate number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions aligned with the patients' level of care.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field, required.
  • Completion of state requirements to conduct therapeutic interventions, required.
  • Holds an active clinical license in the state of Maryland or operates under a Maryland-approved supervisor.
  • Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Must possess a current driver's license and be in good standing.
