We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of quality healthcare services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and national standards.
- Coordinate and monitor orientation, in-services, and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Develop and evaluate patient care plans to ensure quality care is delivered.
- Participate in and chair the Utilization Review Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, and Infection Control Committee.
- Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to ensure consistent practice with current standards.
- Act as administrator on call for nursing emergencies or staff needs.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules for Nursing Services in accordance with contract terms.
- Current New Mexico Registered Nursing License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Graduate of nursing school required; BSN preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership nursing role preferred; 2 years of administrative and/or correctional nursing experience can be substituted for BSN.
