Primary Care Physician Assistant PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team at Western State Hospital. As a Primary Care Physician Assistant, you will provide medical evaluation and care for patients with acute and chronic medical problems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care for assigned units
- Perform and document medical evaluations, including comprehensive medical histories and physicals
- Develop and document working diagnoses and treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
- Collaborate with attending psychiatrist/NP for patients with complex medical/psychiatric interfaces
- Refer patients to outside licensed physicians, clinics, or healthcare providers as needed
- Completion of approved physician assistant training course and current certification
- Current, unrestricted RN and PA licenses in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Knowledge of and experience with Primary Care medicine at the physician assistant level
