Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of our facilities and properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, maintenance, operations management, or a related field, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of our buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. This includes monitoring daily building operations, tracking work orders, and training supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service, and safety standards.

The successful candidate will also oversee vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects, manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs, and ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

This is a full-time exempt position, working out of our Pomona Warehouse with travel as needed to our other facilities. This position reports directly to the COO.

Responsibilities
  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Supporting our company's foundational values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and other ways that make SDF a company of choice for employees and customers
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in facility management, maintenance, operations management, or a related role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Organized and manages time effectively

Superior Duct Fabrication, Inc. manufactures duct work and sheet metal products for the HVAC industry, as well as industrial dust collection and exhaust systems.
