Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team at Associated Students Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities, including the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex and the Bronco Student Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all ASI facilities, including but not limited to utility management, conservation programs, and facility safety coordination.
  • Manage a team of maintenance staff, including supervising, coaching, and evaluating their performance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance-related procedures and guidelines to ensure effective operation and risk management of ASI facilities.
  • Manage external maintenance contractors and vendors, including developing planning, scope, cost estimation, negotiation, execution, management, inspection, and evaluation of service agreements.
  • Prepare and present maintenance budgets, cost estimates, and justifications for various facility safety needs, including capital improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess and recommend ASI physical assets and prioritize deferred maintenance and capital renewal on an annual basis.
  • Develop and implement a quality assurance program to track the quality of service, respond to inspection deficiencies, and procedure for service improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, communications, business/public management/administration, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years progressive management and supervisory experience in facility management, maintenance, or operations for recreation or fitness, student union, conference and events, multi-story housing, or hotels, and/or university environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience administering and/or managing facility, maintenance, asset management, or operational software.
  • OSHA-30 General Industry certification within the first 30 days of employment.
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Emergency Oxygen certifications within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required within the first 6 months of employment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with a diverse student population and campus community, and must be able to analyze and solve problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop alternate recommendations.

The successful candidate must also be able to operate an office workstation, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and other computer applications, and must be able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

This position is a sensitive position with access to sensitive data, and the successful candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
