Your role is vital to our success. As an Anatomical Pathology Technician, you will play a crucial part in enhancing patient care through your skills and dedication.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Conduct histological and cytological procedures, including specimen processing, embedding, and slide preparation.
- Ensure accurate identification of samples and slides.
- Prepare and maintain reagents for histological applications.
- Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment according to established protocols.
- Follow departmental policies for quality control and assurance.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you should possess:
- A High School Diploma; an Associate's degree is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory environment is advantageous.
- State licensure where applicable.
- A solid understanding of histological techniques and their relevance to disease.
- Proficiency in preparing high-quality specimen sections for microscopic evaluation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
