Position Overview:
The Venue Operations Supervisor will oversee daily operational activities at various venues, ensuring the effective management of labor, productivity, quality assurance, and safety protocols as outlined in the Transportation Operations Plan. This role is pivotal in guaranteeing safe and efficient operations while enhancing procedures and systems related to information management and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison for all venue services.
- Collaborate closely with TMS leadership on staffing, routing, and vendor management to fulfill contracted services.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of local area logistics and public transportation networks.
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure service standards are met and client feedback is positive.
- Manage vendor relationships to procure quality transportation equipment within budgetary constraints.
- Organize driver schedules and breaks to maintain operational efficiency.
- Accurately complete bus check-ins and submit procurement documentation in a timely manner.
- Address and resolve complex transportation logistics challenges promptly.
- Prepare and train staff for upcoming projects, conducting necessary meetings and reviews.
- Ensure accurate staffing levels are maintained for each event.
- Oversee part-time staff management and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Complete all financial documentation, including expense reports and timecards.
- Follow established protocols when engaging third-party contractors.
- Document and track post-event feedback and action plans based on client surveys.
- Conduct pre-event briefings to review emergency protocols and operational procedures.
- Travel may be required for this role, with flexibility for short-notice deployments.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess significant industry experience, particularly in live events, with a preference for a bachelor's degree and a minimum of six years in the field. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A proven track record in delivering large-scale events is crucial.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
