We are currently seeking a skilled SALES REPRESENTATIVE to enhance our HOUSTON METRO OPERATIONS by developing new and existing business relationships with partner distributors, commercial contractors, flooring specialists, installers, architects, and other influential stakeholders.

This role involves field sales with a primary base in HOUSTON, TEXAS. The designated territory encompasses Southeast Texas, including Houston, Beaumont, and Lake Charles, Louisiana, requiring daily travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth for ARDEX and Henry products.
  • Identify leads and secure new business opportunities.
  • Showcase products through engaging demonstrations, presentations, and professional displays.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partner distributors, specialized flooring contractors, general contractors, architects, and key business influencers.
  • Provide field service and support, including job initiation assistance, bid preparation, and training for distributors and installers.
  • Offer technical expertise and recommendations, collaborating with our technical team for resources and solutions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Work in conjunction with corporate resources (Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) to ensure exceptional service delivery to ARDEX clients.
  • Represent ARDEX as the industry leader, upholding exemplary professional standards and a customer-first philosophy.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience is essential, with a background in the building materials sector.
  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with architectural specifications and construction design elements are required.
  • Exemplary business integrity, ethics, and professional judgment.
  • High energy levels and enthusiasm for the industry, with a solution-oriented and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory, with the capacity to travel daily within the assigned territory, including some overnight trips.
  • Competence in operating both power and non-power tools, with good mechanical skills to meet the demands of intensive field support.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, with a carrying capacity of 55 pounds.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred, or a minimum high school diploma with relevant industry experience.
