Qualifications:
- Previous coaching and competitive experience is required, with a preference for collegiate coaching experience.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Completion of the NCAA Division II coaching certification test is required.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- A valid Driver's License is essential.
Primary Role:
The Assistant Coach is tasked with supporting the head coach in various responsibilities. This includes planning, directing, supervising, and implementing the operations of the volleyball program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in staff meetings organized by the Head Coach.
- Assist in scouting competitors and recruiting prospective students as directed.
- Support the completion of necessary documentation and related tasks associated with the sport.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of practice sessions and competitive events.
- Engage with students, colleagues, visitors, and others in alignment with Jefferson's values.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate loyalty to the Head Coach and the athletic program, aligning personal strategies with the overall vision of the Head Coach.
- Undertake additional duties assigned by the Head Coach related to the athletic program, which may include conducting practice drills, managing equipment, collaborating with managers, public relations, and maintaining statistics.
- In the absence of the Head Coach, assume their responsibilities.
- Assist the Head Coach in executing the activities of the volleyball program.
