Position Summary:

The Equipment Engineer plays a crucial role in the startup, development, and optimization of Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) equipment. This position focuses on enhancing product quality, driving yield improvements, reducing costs, and managing risks while addressing manufacturing line challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment-related issues using methodologies such as failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC.
  • Coordinate equipment and material evaluations to implement process changes, lead yield improvement initiatives, and manage new equipment qualifications.
  • Supervise the operational health of assigned equipment to ensure high-quality output and develop proactive redundancy plans to mitigate potential bottlenecks.
Safety and Quality Assurance:

Safety and quality are paramount in this role. Responsibilities include completing safety training and adhering to safety policies and regulations. Proactively addressing safety concerns and participating in audits to minimize incidents is essential.

Collaboration and Communication:

Effective collaboration with suppliers, process owners, and engineering teams is vital. Regular participation in meetings to discuss daily operations and improvement initiatives fosters teamwork and enhances performance.

Technical Expertise and Data Analysis:

Analyze data to make informed decisions that drive cost reduction and efficiency. Provide troubleshooting support for complex issues and develop strategies to optimize maintenance frequencies.

Project Management:

Lead projects in partnership with equipment owners, ensuring objectives are met within defined scopes, schedules, and budgets. Track progress and collaborate across various teams to enhance equipment life cycle management.

Qualifications:

Required: AAS in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience. Preferred: BS in an Engineering-related field.
