We are a reputable insurance defense litigation firm specializing in personal injury and catastrophic injury claims. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients and we are seeking a skilled paralegal to join our growing pre-litigation team.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Litigation Settlement Analysis: Review and analyze pre-litigation settlement demands to formulate an effective strategy and timeline for settlement of personal injury and wrongful death claims.
  • Claimant Identification and Facilitation: Determine all possible claimants who may be eligible to participate in settlement and facilitate the settlement of all known claims.
  • Insurance Policy Review: Review and analyze insurance policy documentation to confirm the inclusion of appropriate persons in settlement.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Secure required documentation to ensure compliance with any conditional demands.
  • Client and Carrier Communication: Maintain active and ongoing communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel regarding case status.
  • Settlement Document Preparation: Draft legal correspondence and settlement documents.
  • Payment Issuance: Ensure payment issuance to claimants in a timely manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members on case strategy and resolution of any settlement issues.
Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written, telephone, and in-person communication skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Multi-Tasking and Caseload Management: Ability to multi-task and handle a large caseload with varying deadlines.
  • Court Rules and Filing Procedures: Knowledge of local, state, and federal court rules and filing procedures is a plus, but not required.
  • Independence and Supervision: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and instruction.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe.
Required Education
  • ABA Paralegal Certificate: Possess an ABA Paralegal Certificate.
