- Assist the claims division by managing claim documentation and associated communications.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare eligibility protocols and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in customer support through electronic and telephonic means.
- Capable of investigating and resolving technical challenges autonomously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Able to perform under pressure, both independently and collaboratively.
- General understanding of health insurance processes.
- Willingness to work overtime as required by departmental demands.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute incoming correspondence.
- Prepare claim files for review by examiners.
- Handle special processing checks and incomplete claims.
- Assist the front desk and pre-process medical claims.
- Uphold departmental standards and objectives.
- Track and report daily claims workload.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The role requires effective communication with colleagues and mobility within the office. Various tools and controls will be utilized, and the noise level is moderate.
