We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Workforce Planning team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize workforce planning and improve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced data models and algorithms to analyze workforce data and inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into business strategies and operations
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Lead data-driven initiatives to improve workforce planning and optimize business outcomes
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • 6+ years of data scientist experience
  • 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
  • Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
  • Experience managing data pipelines
  • Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
