About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Private Brand Intelligence (PBI) team at Amazon. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in building data science-driven solutions at scale to delight our customers with products across our leading private brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement scalable machine learning and econometric models to drive strategic business decisions and improve operations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and economists to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy highly scalable distributed solutions.
  • Work closely with scientists, economists, engineers, and product managers to incubate and build day-one solutions using cutting-edge technology.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science.
  • 4+ years of data scientist experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with data querying languages, scripting languages, or statistical/mathematical software.
  • Knowledge of AWS tech stack.
  • Experience documenting modeling for technical and business leaders.
  • Experience working with scientists, economists, software developers, or product managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team.
  • 2+ years of data visualization experience using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
  • Experience managing data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with designing and analyzing large-scale A/B tests and working knowledge of causal inference models.
