Senior International Property Underwriter - Western Region

Role Overview

Our Property division is in search of a Senior International Underwriter with established experience and recognition in the Commercial Insurance Market. A successful history in underwriting both Multinational and Domestic Large and Medium Sized Corporates is essential. You should be well-versed in constructing international property insurance programs. Experience with underwriting Property captive placements will be considered an advantage. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Evaluating and analyzing Property submissions concerning exposures and coverages while identifying and negotiating optimal positions for Corporate Solutions
  • Underwriting for both existing and prospective clients
  • Formulating strategies to enhance our standing on current accounts and to cross-sell additional lines of business in collaboration with client managers
  • Crafting quotations, structuring programs, and presenting proposals
  • Contributing to the evolution of our offerings to align with market demands and practices

Candidate Profile

We seek an open-minded, reliable, and enthusiastic team player who can engage constructively in challenging discussions. To excel in this role, you must possess strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills. Are you comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone and performing under pressure? Do you view yourself as a proactive individual, ready to take initiative and implement detailed, goal-oriented measures? The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in property underwriting for medium to large corporates, including lead responsibilities and managing insurance programs
  • A robust network of brokers and clients
  • Proficiency in utilizing underwriting tools and the ability to interpret and assess results
  • Capability to manage multiple deals simultaneously without losing oversight
  • A high level of energy and proactive behavior

The position may involve some travel.
