ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive system tests and calibrations on CT equipment before shipment to clients, as well as providing on-site customer support when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Installation and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical cabling systems
  • System testing and calibration
  • Documentation of test results
  • Conducting image testing of systems and related components according to specifications and procedures
  • Component-level troubleshooting
  • Assisting in the complete assembly of systems, including mechanical, electrical, and cabling
  • Creating and refining system documentation
  • Working independently and collaboratively within teams, both intra and interdepartmentally
  • Maintaining a high level of product knowledge
  • Running tests and simulations at our facility to aid in problem-solving
  • Achieving proficiency in the service and repair of all systems (current, new, and updates)
  • Completing all required training and certification exams
  • Wearing dosimeters when in direct contact with radiation-emitting devices

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Networking, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred. Technical training and a minimum of 5 years of experience with complex capital equipment, particularly in CT and Imaging, is advantageous.

Familiarity with measuring and testing equipment such as calipers, torque gauges, power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and more is essential. Experience with mechanical devices, tools, telecommunications systems, and a working knowledge of computer networking is required.

ISO, FDA, CMDR Awareness Training and Product Complaint System certification is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate fluent English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel overnight is necessary. Background and drug testing (pre and post-employment) is mandatory. Candidates must be able to analyze data, assemble facts from various sources, and provide informed recommendations to management.


COMPUTER & ANALYTICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency with technology is required, including a strong command of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Often required to push/pull weights exceeding 100 pounds when maneuvering company equipment for repairs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for manipulation, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate effectively.

Must be able to sit and/or drive for extended periods when traveling. Regular exposure to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures is expected.

Interaction with x-ray devices necessitates strict safety and tracking protocols, requiring the use of dose monitoring equipment either full-time or as needed. The noise level in the work environment may be very loud at times.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


COMPETENCIES:
Attention to detail, understanding of terminology, and effective communication within the team are crucial. The ability to organize and prioritize tasks to maintain consistent productivity is essential.

Dependability and punctuality are required, along with the ability to meet accuracy and productivity goals. Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the utilization of available resources for self-improvement and development are necessary.


FLEXIBILITY:
Ability to follow directives and accomplish tasks outside of standard duties.
