Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Imaging Equipment Technician to join our team at Micro Tech Staffing Group. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive system testing and calibration on CT equipment before shipment to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, troubleshooting, and integration of mechanical and electrical cabling systems
  • Conducting system tests and calibrations, including recording test results and conducting image testing according to specifications
  • Troubleshooting systems down to the component level and assisting with full system assembly, including mechanical, electrical, and cabling aspects
  • Creating and refining system documentation, working both independently and collaboratively across departments, and maintaining a deep knowledge of product functionality
  • Running tests and simulations to support problem-solving efforts, learning to proficiently service and repair all systems, and completing required training and certification exams

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Networking, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Technical training with at least 5 years of experience in complex capital equipment; experience with CT and imaging systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in using measuring and testing equipment such as calipers, torque gauges, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
  • Experience working with mechanical systems, telecommunications equipment, and computer networking
  • ISO, FDA, and CMDR training, as well as knowledge of product complaint systems and relevant health certifications, are highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations based on multiple information sources

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lift and move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally over 100 pounds
  • Ability to push/pull weights over 100 pounds when maneuvering company equipment for repair
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to sit or drive for extended periods when traveling
  • Exposure to various work conditions, including wet or humid environments, fumes, chemicals, outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels
  • Regular interaction with x-ray devices necessitates strict adherence to safety protocols, including using dose monitoring equipment
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus
