Role Overview:

In the capacity of Manager - Kinetic Construction, you will oversee a critical team representing our esteemed telecommunications brand, connecting residential customers, small businesses, enterprises, and carrier partners across the nation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safe and effective installation of aerial, buried, and underground cabling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly meetings with team members, providing guidance and accountability for engineering, construction, quality, scheduling, and cost management of assigned projects.
  • Ensure that resources with the necessary expertise are available to support project execution.
  • Manage emergency response teams and address after-hours issues, including holidays and weekends.
  • Conduct site visits to assess workmanship and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and stay informed about emerging technologies.
  • Analyze data and resolve issues by evaluating various factors, applying sound judgment in selecting engineering techniques.
  • Oversee wireline engineering and construction projects to guarantee timely completion within budget.
  • Collaborate with the materials coordinator to confirm job materials.
  • Encourage a culture of innovative solutions that promote accountability and efficiency.
  • Report project status and performance metrics to management.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time within your designated area and potentially to other states for engineering and construction projects.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Self-motivation and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to discuss technology and foster meaningful customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction practices, with the ability to lead a team of individual contributors.
  • A college degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role within engineering and construction.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass DOT certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating multiple projects with a focus on budget management.
  • Familiarity with CAD and Microsoft software.
  • OSHA and NEC training certifications.
  • Knowledge of quality construction practices.
