Hogan & Associates Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our team. As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, and backhoes, to install underground utilities such as water and sewer lines. You will also be responsible for locating utilities and other buried lines prior to digging, and performing pre-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, and backhoes, to install underground utilities
- Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of equipment
- Slope trenches and use trench boxes as necessary
- Travel along the Wasatch front to various job sites
Requirements:
- High school diploma preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work along the Wasatch front
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and continue to pass random drug tests
- Able to pass a background check
- Eligible to work in the United States
Work Hours:
8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime as necessary or until work is completed. Shifts and work assignments may vary as deemed necessary by management.
Related Safety Responsibilities:
Maintain fitness level sufficient to handle required work load, become familiar and compliant with Hogan's safety program and OSHA regulations, and actively attend and participate in Daily Production & Safety meetings.
