District Sales Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Sales Manager to join our team at Alpine. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying sales goals and acting on opportunities to produce sales in our truss industry product line while maintaining superior quality service to existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account plans and strategies aligned with our business objectives.
- Identify competitive issues, industry trends, and business opportunities to drive sales growth.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales and profitability targets in the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within an assigned territory to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Drive accelerated sales growth in assigned territory for existing accounts and new business to meet sales targets and performance objectives.
- Serve as the customer advocate and trusted business advisor in the organization, handling customer issues to resolution.
- Understand and support our organization's short-term and long-term goals, championing our business proposition through value-added sales within the territory.
- Proactively identify customer issues and take corrective actions to bring a resolution, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Gain a general understanding of customer or prospect business needs, reviewing and analyzing customer business processes and recommending solutions that enable the customer to achieve its goals.
- Use value-added selling processes while executing the go-to-market strategy and negotiating skills to close business.
- Develop specific target sales plans to increase market share on targeted product lines.
- Provide continuous market analysis of the territory by obtaining intelligence through internal and external sources to determine market share data.
- Maintain an updated territory map showing geographic distribution of truss manufacturers and their key personnel.
- Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of all products, software, and machinery.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or Construction Management preferred.
- Strong sales history, ideally with experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of truss plant operations, software, paper flow, production, and plant layout desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional presentation skills.
- Proven experience as a highly motivated, results-driven, self-starter.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite software, and industry-related software a plus.
- Bilingual abilities a plus.
