About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak in Pueblo, Colorado. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant production equipment, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CNC electronics on manufacturing machinery, material handling systems, cranes, forklifts, and other metal working equipment.
  • Train operators on preventative maintenance and maintain a work order system.
  • Layout, installation, and start-up of project work.
  • Organize and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Understand the operation of pneumatics, hydraulics, and general mechanics.
  • Complete daily work orders and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Sensors, and transducers.
  • Must be able to wire motors and controls up to 480 VAC & 250 VDC.
  • Must be capable of performing shaft alignments and understand what type couplers to use.
  • Understand hydraulic controls and pumps, including pressure relief valves, directional control valves, and flow controls on Vane & Piston pumps.
  • Be willing to work outside from man lifts in rain or snow.
  • Understand lock out tag out procedures.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or GED preferred.
  • Vocational technical training in mechanical related field is preferred.
  • 3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must be able to score the minimum required on the corporate maintenance test.
  • Forklift and Crane certification preferred.
