EquipmentShare is actively seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) for our rental facility. This role involves the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of customer and company-owned heavy machinery and aerial lifts.
Compensation:
$35.40 per hour (based on experience)
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay available after 40 hours. On-call during weekends only in special circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safe job practices while repairing equipment
- Utilize technology (laptops and tablets) proficiently
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across various rental and customer equipment
- Assist in training junior technicians as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed in a timely manner
- Support the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements is preferred
- Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess tools relevant to the position
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of tools
- Extensive understanding of construction equipment, including schematics and diagrams
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- This position is safety-sensitive and employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening.
