Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at EVRAZ North America. As a key member of our industrial maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing electrical, electronic, and combustion-instrumentation maintenance to all areas of the mill in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical, electronic, and combustion-instrumentation maintenance to all areas of the mill.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, assemble, and install a variety of equipment throughout the mill.
  • Work with Electric Shop, Combustion Lab, and Electronic Shop equipment and tools, mobile equipment of every kind, controls, switches, valves, ovens, furnaces, machinery, cranes, prints, and drawings.
  • Observe lockout procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Operate overhead cranes as required.
  • Work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, exposed to elevated noise levels, vibrations, extreme cold and heat, and other hazardous conditions.
Requirements
  • Must have completed or have the equivalence of a craft apprenticeship in one of the following three crafts: Combustion-Instrumentation Technician, Electronic Repairman, and Electrical Inspector (Maintenance Electrician).
  • 1-3 years of experience as an electrician in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining, with experience working with machinery, overhead cranes, equipment operation, or a closely related field preferred.
  • Valid Colorado license and mobile equipment qualification.
  • Strong troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively when given multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Physical ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, make repetitive motions, hear, and lift up to 75 pounds.
