Job Summary

A Medical Assistant/LPN is a vital member of our patient-centered healthcare team, responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, and providing discharge instructions. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years of clinical experience, and certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-visit planning and standard rooming responsibilities
  • Assisting with procedures and providing discharge instructions
  • Collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit
  • Cross-training and floating as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of clinical experience
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent
  • Meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
    • A graduate of a non-CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training
    • Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials:
      • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
      • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT
      • Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
      • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
