Responsibilities- Pre-visit planning and standard rooming responsibilities
- Assisting with procedures and discharge instructions
- Providing delegated age-appropriate care under the direction of a registered nurse, LVN/LPN, and/or physician/APP
- Contributes to patient care by assisting with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment
- One to two years of clinical experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire
- Meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- A. A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
- B. A graduate of a non-CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training
- C. Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials:
- a. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
- b. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT
- c. Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
- d. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
