Job Summary

A Medical Assistant/LPN is a vital member of our patient-centered healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our patients. This role requires a strong foundation in clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-visit planning and preparation
  • Standard rooming responsibilities, including vital signs and medical history
  • Assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and other duties as assigned
  • Cross-training and floating as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One to two years of clinical experience, preferably in a medical office setting
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire

In addition, you must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
  • A graduate of a non-CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training, with one year of formal on-the-job Medical Assistant experience
  • Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT, Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA

LPN Qualifications:

  • One to two years of related clinical experience, preferably in a medical office setting
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
  • Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire
