Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients and athletes, while also contributing to the growth and development of our sports medicine program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with athletic-related injuries and conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and treatment plans, working closely with patients, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct screenings, presentations, and in-services for area coaches, athletes, and parents, promoting education and awareness about sports medicine and injury prevention.
  • Assist in the coverage of local races, sports physicals, and sporting events, helping to expand the program's brand and reach.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of our sports medicine program.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAATE-approved Athletic Training Program.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer, issued by the National Board of Certification (BOC).
  • CPR Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Valid current driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • PA licensed or eligible as an Athletic Trainer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a traditional setting.
  • Clinical experience in an outpatient office.
