Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients and athletes, while also assisting with administrative tasks and contributing to the growth and development of our sports medicine program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and athletes to determine the best course of treatment for injuries and illnesses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to prevent and treat injuries, as well as to promote overall health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and athletes on injury prevention, treatment, and management.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our sports medicine program through outreach, education, and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAATE-approved Athletic Training Program.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer, issued by the National Board of Certification (BOC).
  • CPR Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Valid current driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • PA licensed or eligible as an Athletic Trainer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a traditional setting.
  • Clinical experience in an outpatient office.
