Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our athletes and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with athletic-related injuries and illnesses, providing expert care and guidance to ensure optimal recovery and return to play.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination and communication.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Provide education and training to patients, coaches, and other stakeholders on injury prevention, treatment, and management.
- Collaborate with the Sports Medicine team to develop and implement injury prevention programs and protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in athletic training.
- Graduate of a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program.
- Current certification as an Athletic Trainer, issued by the National Board of Certification (BOC).
- CPR Healthcare/BLS certification.
- Valid current driver's license.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- PA licensed or eligible as an Athletic Trainer.
- One year of experience in a traditional athletic training setting.
- Clinical experience in an outpatient office setting.
