Job Summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our athletes and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with athletic-related injuries and illnesses, providing expert care and guidance to ensure optimal recovery and return to play.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Provide education and training to patients, coaches, and other stakeholders on injury prevention, treatment, and management.
  • Collaborate with the Sports Medicine team to develop and implement injury prevention programs and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices and advancements in athletic training.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer, issued by the National Board of Certification (BOC).
  • CPR Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Valid current driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • PA licensed or eligible as an Athletic Trainer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a traditional athletic training setting.
  • Clinical experience in an outpatient office setting.
