Position Summary:

The Advanced Machine Operator operates with a significant degree of autonomy, utilizing sound judgment to manufacture materials through sophisticated equipment and computerized controls. This role involves interpreting blueprints and diagrams while managing various machinery essential to daily manufacturing operations, including robotic and automated systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor machinery during operation to ensure product quality and address material issues as they arise.
  • Download or create computer programs to guide machinery for optimal performance and specifications.
  • Set up and operate machinery with the appropriate tools and materials tailored to current job requirements.
  • Maintain accurate material reporting and strategize the best use of materials to maximize output while minimizing waste.
  • Utilize measuring instruments and processes to conduct First Piece Inspections and other quality assessments before, during, and after production to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action processes.
  • Employ lifting devices and mobile equipment to position materials and components as necessary.
  • Perform housekeeping and 5-S duties, along with other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or successful completion of the ACT WorkKeys Assessment at the certified job profile skill level.
  • At least 1 year of experience in independently operating computer-controlled machinery, including robotic, automatic, or semi-automatic systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school certification or an additional 6 months of relevant experience and/or training in computer-controlled machinery operation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in independently operating computer-controlled machinery, including robotic, automatic, or semi-automatic systems.
Additional Information:

Compensation: Pay range is $23.53 - $30.25.
