Position Overview

As a Production Machine Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of designated machinery, ensuring that products meet our rigorous standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly initiate and conclude machine operations to guarantee the highest quality of finished products.
  • Configure and operate machinery for diverse product lines.
  • Safely and effectively produce items in your assigned production area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout your shift to promote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of products to identify and report any quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure adequate levels of production materials are available to minimize downtime for subsequent shifts.
  • Continuously monitor machine performance to uphold accurate product specifications and quality standards.
  • Achieve or surpass production targets while minimizing waste and fulfilling customer requirements.
  • Set up and modify rewinders as necessary.
  • Accurately document production data in the machine's computer system.
  • Manage scrap materials appropriately.
  • Operate additional machinery and assist with preventative maintenance as required.
  • Enhance your skills by learning from Set-up Technicians to assist with troubleshooting.
  • Embrace and promote Pregis' core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus, and innovation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Ability to read a tape measure with precision.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, is preferred.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.

Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving machinery.
  • Indoor work conditions.
  • Potential for high temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Noise levels may exceed 85dB.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and wrists.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and squat for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.
