Firefighter (Paramedic)

This is a challenging opportunity to join the U.S. Marine Corps as a Firefighter (Paramedic). As a member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, providing medical care, and fighting fires.
Responsibilities- Respond to structure fires, operate hydrants, lay hose lines, and perform ladder operations to effect fire suppression.
- Perform assigned firefighting tasks at major warehouse structures, ordinance storage facilities/loading areas, four-story barracks, older wood-constructed barracks, and major above-ground fuel facilities.
- Respond to emergency alarms involving vehicles, ammunition, gasoline, electrical hazardous materials, brush, and structures.
- Provide advanced patient assessment and treatment for victims of fire, sudden illness, accidental injuries, childbirth, and other events requiring medical intervention.
- Detect the presence of potentially hazardous materials to maintain containment and control.
- Maintain care of emergency equipment to ensure safety upon treating patients.
- GS-08: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- GS-09: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
