Mechanical and Electrical Systems Technician

Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within a manufacturing setting.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance, diagnose machinery issues, and ensure equipment functions according to manufacturer specifications.
Interpret operation manuals, maintain an inspection schedule, and fabricate parts for repairs and enhancements.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to identify problems, clean and repair equipment, and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Upgrade or replace outdated electrical components and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent education/experience in production maintenance.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, demonstrating strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and PLCs.
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and product manuals.
Experience in machine setup, installation, and troubleshooting mechanical failures.
Ability to perform calibrations, installation, and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and project management abilities.
Experience with inventory management and maintaining continuity among work teams.
Knowledge of safety protocols, flexibility to work varied schedules, and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to high temperatures and moving machinery.
