Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Akron, OH. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair issues
  • Work with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete tasks and projects

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • ASE certification in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
