Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated School Paraprofessional to join our team at Ensemble Therapy. As a School Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students who require instructional and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement IEP objectives, including math, reading, speech, independent skills, and managing minor behavioral deficits and excesses, one on one or as a general classroom aide.
  • Facilitate teacher-directed learning activities, including lesson plans, worksheets, reinforcement systems, small groups, social games, and work assistance.
  • Assist students during recess and lunch periods, as well as community experiences.
  • Communicate pertinent information to teachers and maintain confidentiality regarding all matters pertaining to students, parents, and classroom activities.
  • Assist with activities of prescribed programs, including those written by related service personnel such as PT, OT, and SLP.
  • Support students in developing independent skills through self-care activities, such as toileting, clothing routines, and personal hygiene.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement behavior management techniques and assist with clerical duties, including making stimuli, making copies, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, preparing materials, and assignment scoring.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and clients via strong communication skills.
  • Successful completion of background screening and onboarding process.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Compensation

$22-26/hr (depending on experience)
