Our district operates 17 schools, serving approximately 8,200 students, and offers a broad scope of supplemental instructional programs, including dual immersion programs, GATE academy, music and band, and state-of-the-art science and art facilities.
Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the operation of a school site Extended School Program, supervising assigned personnel, and planning and directing educational programs for elementary and middle school students.
Requirements- Any combination equivalent to an Associate of Arts (AA) or sixty (60) units with twenty-four (24) ECE/CD units, including child development, child growth and development, child/family/community programs/curriculum, and child development curriculum related courses.
- Three-hundred fifty (350) days of three plus (3+) hours per day within four (4) years, including at least one hundred (100) days of supervising adults experience.
- Possession of a Child Development Supervisor Permit issued by The California Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing, or officially enrolled in a college program, demonstrating substantial progress towards obtaining a Child Development Supervisor Permit.
- Valid First-aid Certificate and CPR Certificate or completion of both certificates within three (3) months of employment.
- Under general direction, this position is responsible for the operation of a school site Extended School Program.
- Supervises the activities of assigned personnel.
- Plans and directs educational programs for elementary and middle school students that expand upon the content of the regular school day.
- Manages a site budget and budgeted expenditures.
