Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Job Coach to join our team at Spherion. As a Job Coach, you will play a crucial role in helping employees understand their job responsibilities, develop essential skills, and thrive in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruction and Training: Guide employees through step-by-step procedures and ensure they grasp job responsibilities effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring: Document and assess employee performance using trackers, notes, and evaluations.
  • Skill Development: Teach and reinforce task completion, ensuring alignment with job specifications.
  • Advocacy and Support: Act as a champion for all employees, addressing their unique needs and facilitating their success.
  • Behavioral Coaching: Provide one-on-one coaching, focusing on specific behaviors and skills to enhance workplace performance.
  • Collaborative Work: Partner with team members to identify and address skill gaps, and adapt coaching methods based on individual progress.
  • Training Development: Assist in creating training programs for line leaders working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in meetings with community support services and employee families as needed.
  • Employment Planning: Develop effective job coaching and employment plans, and advise on workplace accommodations.
  • Goal Setting: Communicate with employees to understand their goals and aspirations, and help them achieve them.
  • Recruitment Support: Attend job fairs and recruiting events to support talent acquisition efforts.
  • Floor Support: Assist on the production floor as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a job coach or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and developing employment plans.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for inspiring and motivating others.
Education:

High School

Work Environment:

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Will involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
