Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Check-in and Verification: Greet patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays and balances.
  • Front Office Operations: Maintain the readiness of the reception area, perform clerical tasks, and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Financial Responsibility: Determine and collect each patient's financial responsibility.
  • Support for Physicians and Office Operations: Assist the practice manager and other staff as required, provide overall support for Physicians and office operations.
  • Document Management: Obtain and document patient history, understand and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirements, collect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Management: Document Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions.
  • Compliance: Assure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prefer at least one year experience in a medical office or emergency room setting.
  • Urgent Care Experience: Urgent care experience preferred, but not required.
  • Scheduling: Ability to work 8am to 8pm 3 days/week, rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Insurance Eligibility and Co-pay Determination: Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination.
