Patient Care Opportunities
At Henry Ford Health System, we are seeking a Patient Attendant to join our team.
**Job Summary:**
As a Patient Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
**Responsibilities:**
* Remain at the bedside of assigned patients at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
* Assist in calming and/or reorienting patients in cases of agitation or confusion.
* Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from the immediate environment and report as appropriate.
* Record all observations.
**Schedule:**
Rotating minimum of 4 shifts will be on nights.
**Licensure/Certification/Registration:**
* BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
* Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
**Education:**
* High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
